Award winning Industrial Photography
I recently won two awards from the British Institute of Professional Photography in the Industrial photography category of the 2019 South East Photography Awards.
These shots were from a project commissioned by The Crown Estate, studying stone Quarries and mines.
This shot was taken in the Manod slate mine in Blaenau Ffestiniog, north Wales. The threatening steely grey sky matching the tones of slate perfectly.
This image was shot at the Cauldon quarry, which mainly deals with aggregate. This was an interesting project and I enjoyed playing with the sense of scale in these vast barren landscapes amongst huge machinery.
